Information regarding resources, their assignments and the organizational structure is globally available across all project boundaries and allows the Project Manager or Planner to perform sophisticated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with Can Do's built in tools. Can Do displays the organization as a hierarchy of departments and resources.

Resources can be assigned to Tasks, Phases and Projects. Besides assigning resources, departments and skills (qualifications) can also be assigned as “Virtual Resources”. This is useful in cases where a project requires a resource with a certain qualification, but it is not yet certain exactly which employee will be assigned. ERP & resource overload can be monitored from the Resource Assignments Panel, the Capacity Window and the ToDo List (see: Risk Management)
